The 9th La Union Longboard Open Filipino-Foreigner Friendship Classic was held last February 2-4, 2007 at Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. Crowds were entertained by British Longboard Sensation, Ashley, who was in the area for a Surfing Safari Adventure (travel packages available at Sebay). "I didn't even know about the event. It was a complete surprise. Nonetheless, I joined the competition and had a fantastic time. I had no idea the Philippines had such an absolutely terrific surfing community, particularly, the surfing community of San Juan, La Union." (Click here for more).
